In line with its ongoing commitment to uplifting underserved communities, the Nikki Udezue Foundation (NUF), in December 2024, extended its humanitarian reach through a free medical outreach program to the people of Jiwa and Kaida Tsoho communities in the FCT.
With limited access to affordable healthcare services in these areas, the outreach was a beacon of hope — offering essential medical services, health education, and compassionate care to hundreds of men, women, and children.
This impactful outreach featured:
✅ Free medical consultations and diagnoses
✅ Provision of medications for common ailments
✅ Malaria and blood pressure screenings
✅ Health talks on personal hygiene, disease prevention, and nutrition
✅ Distribution of sanitary materials and personal hygiene items
✅ Referrals for cases requiring further attention
From infants to the elderly, every patient was given thoughtful attention and access to basic health services — many for the first time in months or even years.
The outreach didn’t just address physical health; it also delivered emotional relief. Mothers expressed gratitude for being able to get care for their children. Elderly citizens were moved by the gesture of receiving medical attention with respect and dignity. It was a day filled with warmth, healing, and human connection.
As one community member shared, "We’ve never had this kind of care come to us before. Thank you, NUF, for remembering us.
The success of this outreach was made possible through the tireless efforts of the NUF team, our dedicated medical volunteers, and the unwavering support of our partners and donors. Your contributions — whether financial, logistical, or moral, helped restore health and hope in these communities.
At NUF, we believe health is a right, not a privilege. This outreach is part of a larger vision to make quality healthcare more accessible across vulnerable communities, one village, one visit, one life at a time.
