December 22, 2024
From December 20 to 22, 2024, the Nikki Udezue Foundation, in partnership with AL-TABIB Pharmaceutical and with sponsorship from the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), successfully conducted a three-day free medical outreach in the Jiwa and Kaida Tsoho communities of the Federal Capital Territory.
The outreach was designed to bridge the gap in access to healthcare among underserved populations. It provided free medical consultations, health check-ups, and essential medications to hundreds of residents. In addition to these direct services, the program included community education on preventive health practices, personal hygiene, and the importance of routine medical check-ups.
As the implementing partner, the Nikki Udezue Foundation led the coordination and execution of the outreach. From mobilizing qualified medical personnel to handling on-ground logistics, NUF ensured a smooth and impactful delivery of care. Their longstanding presence and trust in the communities made it possible to reach a wide population and deliver services efficiently.
AL-TABIB Pharmaceutical contributed technical expertise and donated medications for the program. Their role reinforced the importance of private sector involvement in community healthcare and highlighted their commitment to improving lives through sustainable health interventions.
The outreach offered a wide range of free medical services tailored to meet urgent health needs in these underserved areas. Residents of Jiwa and Kaida Tsoho received:
On-site counseling and health education sessions
Community talks on personal hygiene, disease prevention, and routine medical care
Children, women, and the elderly showed up in numbers, many expressing that this was their first direct access to quality healthcare in a long time.
This outreach would not have been possible without the dedicated collaboration of all partners involved.
The Nikki Udezue Foundation played the lead role as the implementing partner. From mobilizing medical personnel to organizing local logistics, NUF ensured the outreach was timely, efficient, and deeply impactful. Their established trust and presence in the communities allowed for a seamless connection between service providers and the people.
AL-TABIB Pharmaceutical brought in critical medical supplies and expertise. Their contribution of medications and professional support reflected a strong commitment to socially responsible healthcare and public welfare.
The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) served as the primary sponsor. Their financial and logistical support, as well as their presence throughout the process, reaffirmed their resolve to strengthen primary healthcare delivery at the grassroots level.
The outreach did more than meet immediate health needs. It left a powerful impact by empowering communities with the knowledge and motivation to take charge of their health. Smiles, gratitude, and renewed hope were evident across both Jiwa and Kaida Tsoho as residents expressed appreciation for the life-saving services brought directly to their doorstep.
This collaboration between NUF, AL-TABIB, and NPHCDA serves as a shining example of what can be achieved when humanitarian organizations, the private sector, and public institutions come together with a shared vision, to make healthcare accessible to all.
The Nikki Udezue Foundation remains committed to reaching even more communities with similar programs. With continued support from partners and stakeholders, we believe in building a future where no one is too far or too forgotten to receive the care they deserve.
This is just the beginning. Together, we are healing lives, building trust, and reshaping the healthcare landscape, one community at a time.
