In celebration of her birthday on November 5th, 2023, the Founder and President of the Nikki Udezue Foundation (NUF), Mrs. Nkeiruka Udezue, chose to mark the day not with a party, but with a heartfelt street outreach, spreading joy and kindness in an unforgettable way.
Titled the Founder’s Day Street Outreach, the initiative took an innovative and deeply touching approach. In a blend of drama and social experimentation, Mrs. Udezue took to the streets disguised as someone in need, approaching random individuals to ask for assistance, be it food, transport fare, or simply directions.
The twist? Those who showed compassion, offered help, or extended kindness were surprised with a special gift package from the Founder herself.
“I wanted to celebrate my birthday by doing something that reflects the heart of NUF, encouraging humanity, rewarding goodness, and reminding people that kindness never goes unnoticed,” she explained.
The reactions were emotional. Some of the unsuspecting good Samaritans were moved to tears when they discovered that their selfless actions were being recognized and rewarded. Others expressed how the gesture reaffirmed their belief in the value of doing good, even when no one is watching.
The gift packages contained essentials and tokens of appreciation, but more importantly, they came with a powerful message... "Keep being a light to others."
This street outreach was more than a birthday celebration; it was a symbolic demonstration of NUF’s core mission: to touch lives differently and remind the world that the smallest acts of kindness can create lasting impact.
As the Foundation continues its work across communities, the Founder’s Day Outreach stands as a shining example of how love, empathy, and generosity remain the most meaningful gifts one can give, and receive.
